As we talked about in describing our non-cookie cutter approach to instruction, even more so with regards to our club fitting. In today’s golf club environment, never have the choices been more abundant. With this abundance comes a huge problem, confusion!!!
We use our 30+ years of experience to achieve unparalleled results for our clients. In our somewhat biased opinion, advanced knowledge in the golf swing gives us a unique qualification to add to our club fitting expertise. Many of the area’s top instructors, confidently send their students to us to be fitted properly. These instructors know that their clients will come back with clubs that ultimately help both student and teacher get better results from their hard work together.
As we like to say here, “We are golf club agnostic!”. We want the club that performs the best for our client, regardless of brand name. Looking at all factors such as launch angle, height, smash factor, club speed, spin rates and consistency, remains our claim to fame. Total distance is but one factor as is brand awareness. We prefer the term “Effective Distance” with the appropriate blend of accuracy, consistency, spin and carry distance.
Sometimes our best fits are the times we ask the client to work with their personal instructor on a few more improvements, before we make a final recommendation. Premier Driver Fitting
Our typical driver fitting takes approximately 1:15 to go through.
We check your current driver specifications such as:
- Length
- Loft
- Swing
- Weight
- Frequency
After warming up properly, you will hit some shots to arrive at a baseline with your current driver using Trackman technology. This baseline will include details like:
- Club Speed
- Smash Factor
- Trajectory
- Land Angle
- Club Path
- Carry Distance
- Total Distance
We use premium golf balls and premium shafts that most players are not normally exposed to be able to try.
Our goals using our 30+ years of experience, is to help you find a driver shaft combination that allows you to perform at your highest level. This means not only more distance, but consistency of contact and accuracy!

Our typical long game fitting takes approximately 1:15 to go through.
We will check your current fairway woods and hybrid specifications such as:
- Length
- Loft
- Swing Weight
- Frequency
After warming up properly, you will hit some shots to arrive at a baseline with your current long clubs using Trackman technology. This baseline will include details like:
- Club Speed
- Smash Factor
- Trajectory
- Land Angle
- Club Path
- Carry Distance
- Total Distance.
We use premium golf balls and premium shafts that are not available for most players to try.
Using our 30+ years of experience, our goal is to help you find not only the proper head and shaft combination, but to identify the gaps in your distances between these clubs. We will put into your bag ONLY the best tools that allow you to hit the different distances needed to play better from long range.

Our typical iron fitting takes approximately 1:45 to go through.
We check your current irons specifications such as:

After warming up properly, you will hit some shots to arrive at a baseline with your current 6 iron using Trackman technology. This baseline will include details like:
- Club Speed
- Smash Factor
- Trajectory
- Land Angle
- Club Path
- Carry Distance

We use premium golf balls and premium shafts that most players are not normally exposed to be able to try.
You will hit a variety of head and shaft combinations to identify your best performance characteristics. Our goals using our 30+ years of experience, is to help you find a set of irons and shafts that allow you to perform with more accuracy, stopping power, as well as carry distance. Set makeup for a more consistent distance gapping is critical for your iron play improvement and making more pars & birdies!

Putter Fitting
Our putter fitting at Baraban’s Academy ForeGolf is anything but typical.
We find that using the Edel Putter Fitting System gives us the best insight and tools available to the benefit of our clients. Starting with a laser aiming checkpoint we want to determine your aiming tendencies with your current putter at the 6- 8 foot range.
The next step is to determine your ability to control the distance that you are hitting a putt. In most cases, weight of the putter as well as impact location will affect your distance control.
Finally, we look at your putting stroke for path and face angle tendencies at impact. This is an important final step since your aim will have an affect on these tendencies.
Since no putter swings itself, it only makes sense that both of us look for you to make more putts!
